Training of Officers and Rating Responsible for Cargo Handling on Ships Carrying Dangerous and Hazardous Substances in Solid Form in Bulk and in Packaged Form
The course is designed: in accordance with the requirements of sections B–V/b and B–V/c of the STCW Code.
Course objective:
practical skills development of ship crew members in handling dangerous goods on ships during cargo operations and sea transportation;
- achievement by ship crew members of the standards of competence in conducting and managing cargo operations with dangerous goods, as specified in sections B–V/b and B–V/c of the STCW Code;
- acquisition of basic knowledge in providing first aid on ships during accidents related to dangerous goods;
- practical demonstration of achieving the minimum standards of competence specified in sections B–V/b and B–V/c of the STCW Code.

Duration of study: full training course 33 hours (5 days) / shortened training course 18 hours (3 days).
