Radar Navigation – Management level, Radar, ARPA, Bridge Teamwork, Search and Rescue

The course is designed: in accordance with the requirements of Rule A-II/2, A-I/12 (paragraphs 4, 5) B-I/12 (paragraphs 2-35) of the STCW Code.

Course objective:

The program is designed for simulator training on a radar simulator and a GMDSS simulator for ship officers to advance from the operational level to the management level (chief officer, captain), who hold valid certificates issued for the operational level.

Type of document: certificate.

Duration of study: full training course 39 hours (5 days) / reduced training course 20 hours (2.5 days).

List of documents required for registration:

– passport (if an ID passport is available, an Extract of registration must be additionally provided);

– TIN (Tax Identification Number);

– seafarer’s identity document;

– international passport (if available);

– matte photo 3×4;

– document confirming relevant maritime education in the specialty “Navigation”;

– working diploma (certificate) not lower than a watchkeeping officer;

– medical certificate;

– valid certificate “Radar Navigation – Operational Level” (Radar Navigation, radar plotting and ARPA use);

– complete approved training and preparation according to the current program and meet the standard specified in section A-II/2 of the STCW Code: Table A-II/2, Competence area “Ensure safe navigation through the use of radar and ARPA, as well as modern navigation systems that facilitate decision-making.”
