Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats

The course is designed: in accordance with the requirements of Regulation VI/2 (paragraph 1) of the STCW Convention, Section A–VI/2 (paragraphs 1–4 ) of the STCW Code.

Course objective:

provide ship specialists with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the commander of lifeboats and rafts, as well as non-speedy standby boats. Prepare them for the organization and effective use of these means, as well as ensure understanding of their role in the system of ensuring the safety of human life at sea, both in emergency situations and during operation and training with the use of lifesaving equipment.

Duration of study: full training course 32 hours (4 days) / shortened training course 16 hours (2 days).

Category of listeners:

full course – specialists with experience working on ships, but who have not performed the functions of a lifesaving equipment specialist; short course – maritime specialists who already have experience working at the level of a lifeboat or raft commander, but do not have a certificate, or their certificate is expiring.

– passport (in case of having an ID passport, it is necessary to additionally provide an Extract of registration);

– TIN (Tax Identification Number);

– seafarer’s identity document;

– passport for traveling abroad (if available);

– matte photo 3×4;

– document confirming maritime education;

– working diploma (certificate);

– medical certificate;

– certificate of completion of the course “Familiarization, Basic Safety Training and Instruction for All Seafarers”.
