Medical Care on Board Ship
The course is designed: in accordance with the requirements of Rule VI/4 (paragraph 2) of the STCW Convention, Section A-VI/4 (paragraphs 4-6) of the STCW Code.
Course objective:
to teach the crew the rules of providing first aid, skills in medical care, treatment of sick and injured persons on board a vessel at sea until they receive qualified or specialized medical assistance.
Type of document: certificate/license.
Duration of study: full training course 46.5 hours (6 days).
Category of listeners:
full course – professional seafarers who have completed the basic course “First Medical Aid (A-VI/4-1)” in accordance with the requirements of the International STCW Convention with the Manila Amendments 2010.
– Passport (if an ID passport is available, an Extract of registration must be additionally provided);
– TIN;
– Seafarer’s identity document;
– passport for traveling abroad (if available);
– matte photo 3×4;
– document confirming maritime education;
– educational or work diploma in a maritime specialty;
– certificate of completion of the “Elementary Medical Care” course;
– medical certificate.
