High Voltage Electrical Equipment
The course is designed: in accordance with the requirements: Rules III/2; III/3; VIII/2, Part III of the STCW Convention, sections A-III/2, A-III/6, of the STCW Code.
Course objective:
improvement of the professional aptitude of electromechanics and mechanics by updating and refreshing their knowledge regarding high-voltage equipment, as well as gaining the ability to manage operations, maintain in proper condition, and troubleshoot high-voltage equipment taking into account the ship’s installations and standards of safe use.
Type of document: certificate.
Duration of study: preparation course 48 hours (6 days).
– passport (in case of having an ID passport, it is necessary to additionally provide an Extract of registration);
– TIN (Tax Identification Number);
– seafarer’s identity document;
– international passport (if available);
– matte photo 3×4;
– document confirming maritime education at a level not lower than a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- “Operation of ship power plants”;
- “Automated process control” with a specialization in “Automated control of ship power plants”; or
document confirming maritime education at the specialist or master’s level in one of the following fields:
- “Electrical systems and complexes of transport vehicles” with a specialization in “Operation of ship automated systems”;
- “Ship power plants and equipment” with a specialization in “Operation, testing, and installation of ship power plants”;
– work diploma (certificate) not lower than a watch mechanic;
– medical certificate.
