Basic Training for Ships Operating in Polar Waters
The course is designed: in accordance with the requirements of sections A-I/11, p.4, A-I/12, A-V/4-1, B-I/12 (p.p. 68-70), B-V/g of the STCW Code.
Course objective:
acquisition of experience and skills in the management of vessels operating in polar waters, under ice navigation conditions, and low air temperatures.
Type of document: certificate/evidence.
Duration of study: training course 38 hours (5 days).
– passport (in case of having an ID-passport, it is necessary to additionally provide an Extract of registration);
– TIN (Tax Identification Number);
– seafarer’s identity document;
– international passport (if available);
– matte photo 3×4;
– document confirming relevant maritime education in the specialty “Navigation”;
– medical certificate;
– certificate of completion of the course “Navigation with the use of radar, radar plotting and ARPA, teamwork on the bridge, search and rescue (management/operational level)”;
– certificate of completion of the course “Use of Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems”;
– certificate of completion of the course “Bridge Team Management”.
